- GovWorks is seeking qualified 8(a) small disadvantaged, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Hub Zone firms that manufacturer and or supply federal Government customers with Tactical Gear and Equipment; National Security Equipment; Body Armor; Search, Rescue, Fire, and Safety Supplies; and other miscellaneous within general scope items to submit capability statements in response to this notice. Responsible, Qualified firms will be asked to participate in a future Request for Proposal which is intended to result in a multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract. Small business firms qualifying as one of the above listed socio-economic groups will be eligible to participate. Capability statements that demonstrate proven past performance and organizational experience are requested in response to this pre-solicitation notice. The Government reserves the right to use Socio-Economic factors in determining vendor qualifications. Small business firms responding to this synopsis must include a capability statement document to: (1) state the which type of 8(a) small disadvantaged, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, or Hub Zone businesses they are a based on an appropriate SBA size standard or NAICS. (2) include information that demonstrates the firm's past performance history including detailed information supporting their capabilities and qualifications to provide potential requirements, (3) state organizational experience with performing similar work and include all other pertinent procurement information including specific relevant contracts being performed or recently completed, detailed description of the work, explanation of how work relates to potential future requirements, annual and total dollar value of contracts, contract numbers, points of contact and phone number, and (4) list any other pertinent information which would enable the Government to assess the firm's capabilities. It is imperative that firms respond with the required information so that capabilities can be evaluated accurately. Successful small business firms - 8(a) firms, HUBzone small business concerns, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business concerns - found responsible will be issued a Request for Proposal. The Primary NAICS code for this requirement is 315211 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. As this in one of many NAICS that will be utilized on the vehicle, submit your response accordingly. The RFP is anticipated for release to (pre) qualified firms only on or about May 25, 2007. Interested parties are asked to respond to this pre-solicitation notice and submit a capability statement in order to be issued the RFP. No written solicitation document is available at this time, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained. Potential offerors are requested to direct all questions via e-mail to Greg.Ruderman@mms.gov. Ensure the solicitation number 13257 and project title "Tactical Gear and Equipment Project" is referenced on all correspondence. The resulting RFP may include but not be limited to the following product areas may be solicitated in the RFP: Ammunition, Ballistic Helmets, Binoculars, Scopes and Visual Enhancement Supplies, Body Armor, Breaching Tools and Equipment, Climbing Gear, Clothing, Apparel and Accessories, Communication Equipment, Diving Equipment, Shelters, Tents & Accessories, Equipment Storage & Transportation Products, Generators and Power Sources, Eye, Ear and Head Protective Equipment, Footwear, Fragmentation Vests & Blankets, Gloves, Hardware, Tools, Locks and Related Supplies, Holsters and Slings, Hydration Systems, Illumination Systems, Knives & Tools, Night Vision Equipment, Protective Cases, Rescue Gear & Equipment, Riot Gear, Safety Supplies and Equipment, Vehicle Armor, Weapons & Weapon Accessories.
