- Description
- The United States Navy Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program (PMA-271) and the Naval Aviation Systems Team has the mission to provide to our customer, the Fleet operators of the E-6B, full life-cycle support for the aircraft, engines and mission equipment. This support includes engineering, acquisition management, training and modifications to incorporate new capabilities, upgrade older equipment, and ensure continuing safe operating aircraft. We will apply current and emerging technologies to develop a flexible, affordable, and sustainable airborne command post and communications relay platform that satisfies the requirements of USCINCSTRAT, supported CINCs, the Joint Staff, and the National Command Authority throughout the full spectrum of conflict. This Statement of Work (SOW) specifies the technical and program support services required by PMA-271. PMA-271 requires support services to assist in concept development and requirements analysis by the application of national security, defense and public policy in the forms of substantive research and analysis, technical/policy advice and assistance, and direct support to PMA-271. These services also include providing support for mission systems acquisition and TACAMO Regeneration Assurance Team (TRAT) communications systems architecture requirements. Supporting services include providing Leadership Team members, Program Team Leads and Lead Test Engineers as well as other PMA 271 IPT Leads technical and analytical support for future E 6 mission and mission support systems. PMA-271 requires a full range of engineering, technical services, and management support for the research, design, development, integration installation, test and evaluation, fielding, analysis, maintenance, material procurement, training and disposal of E-6 and other major aircraft systems. This support ranges from research, design, and development to specialized engineering and technical support for equipment or subsystems. The effort requested under this SOW includes a variety of program management support, systems engineering support, and life cycle management support.
