- DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Coast Guard intends TO PROCURE LODGING AND MEETING SPACE FOR ITS ANNUAL ASSIGNMENT OFFICER CONFERENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SOW WHICH IS INCLUDED WITH THIS NOTICE. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, please read this entire notice, the instructions herein, and the attachment documents carefully. This acquisition is on a(n)UNRESTRICTED. HOW TO RESPOND: In order to compete for this project, interested parties must demonstrate that they are qualified to perform the work by providing a brief (20 pages or less) Technical and Cost Proposal by 2:00 PM, ET, MAY 14 2007. Cost Proposal: provide Firm Fixed-Price. Offerors must submit proposal to Baptistia Albino, USCG Headquarters Support Command, Code A-3, Room B411, 2100 Second St. SW, Washington, DC 20593. Electronic transmissions to Baptistia.Albino@uscg.mil are PREFERRED, and must be timely. Proposal Evaluation Criteria: (1) Price and price-related factors. Award will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Proposal. Questions about this requirement must be in writing and submitted by fax or e-mail. Telephone inquiries are strongly discouraged. U.S. COAST GUARD ASSIGNMENT OFFICER UNIVERSITY 2007 The purpose of the Assignment Officer University 2007 conference is to train new assignment officers in the roles and responsibilities associated with the position. It also provides refresher training for the existing assignment officers. Lastly, it provides an opportunity for new and existing assignment officers to meet and interact in a relaxed atmosphere where bonds and friendship can be developed. This is of vital importance as all 27 assignment officers are expected to work as a cohesive team on a daily basis. The Coast Guard Personnel Command, Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM) staff meets once per year to conduct this training. All lodging and meeting facilities must meet Federal requirements for ADA accessibility and be certified FEMA compliant. Lodging at Federal Government per diem rate for members and staff will be paid by the Coast Guard via Purchase Order. THE HOTEL MUST BE WITHIN 40 MILES OF THE US COAST GUARD HEADQUARTERS IN WASHINGTON DC. Meeting date: 29-30 August 2007 Schedule Outline: Check-in Hotel: 29 August 2007 Session start: 29 August 2007 Check-out Hotel: 30 August 2007 Session start: 7:00 ? 4:00 pm Room nights: 39 Rooms ? 29 August 2007 Total Room nights ? 39 Function Space Required: Minimum 1200 square feet Meeting Room set U shaped for 45 members. In addition, two 6-foot tables are required for materials. A/V Equipment Required: Overhead projector 25?
