- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR, FAC 2005-15 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The USCG Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the following: Item #1: Capacitor, Set of 4, PN: 46-2800-1. Qty: 50 SE. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS OR SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY. Requested Delivery Date: JULY 1ST, 2007. FOB Destination delivery to USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000.The closing date for receipt of quotations is May 22nd, 2007. Quotation shall include, proposed delivery in days, pricing for item(s) individually preserved, packed, marked, the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which, if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 334414 the small business size standard is 500 employees. It is anticipated that a non competitive sole source purchase order will be issued for these Capacitor Sets to Megapulse Inc or an authorized distributor.. It is the Governments belief that only Megapulse Inc, the original equipment manufacturer, or an authorized distributor can furnish the required Capacitor Sets and ensure the proper fit, form and function of all its components. Concerns who have the expertise and required capabilities to furnish these Capacitor Sets are invited to submit complete information discussing the same in duplicate within 3 days of this announcement. However, other potential sources desiring to furnish other than Megapulse Inc Capacitor Sets are required to submit the following information: 1). Complete and current engineering data to demonstate the acceptability of the offered pumps (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics) or 2) Data that the offered pumps have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. The data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. The submission of this data for review shall not impede the award of this contract. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation.
