Description

Provide protestant chaplain services to the VA NIHCS Fort Wayne Indiana, approximately 20 hours per week, Wednesday through Friday (weekends, evenings, Mondays, Tuesdays, and holidays may be required on an occasional basis). Chaplain services include but are not limited to the following: general pastoral care for all patients (i.e., new admissions, pre-surgery, follow-up care, seriously ill, terminally ill,); bereavement counseling; pastoral counseling for patients, families and staff; conduct worship services; pastoral care for funeral services; administer/interpret spiritual assessments; and maintain appropriate documentation. Chaplain must meet the following minimum requirements: (1) Have a Master of Divinity degree or equivalent graduate education from an accredited school; (2) two years of pastoral experience completed during and after graduate education; (3) two units of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent; (4) ecclesiastical endorsement by the official national endorser of the religious faith group, and (5) ten hours of continuing education each year. Notice of total small business set-aside applies to this solicitation, NAICS Code 813110 applies with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. Estimated start date is June 15, 2007. Contract will be for one base year with four 1-year renewal options. Solicitation will be available approximately May 11, 2007, with proposals due by May 31, 2007. Estimated contract award for 5 years is between $100,000 and $250,000.
