- Description
- The U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management Command ??? Picatinny Arsenal, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award on a sole source basis to Point One, LLC, Arlington, VA to enhance Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) with the addition of three dimensional (3D) visualizations and content. The contractor shall provide research and development for the integration of interactive 3D content using Logistics Research & Engineering Directorate???s (LRED) existing IETM development tools and processes such that all content is compliant with Army publication standards. The contractor shall also provide research and development for the integration of interactive 3D content to accommodate efficient, practical functioning of IETMs on handheld Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The period of performance for providing these deliverables will be 10 months from contract award. Sole source authority for this procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) ???Only One Responsible Source...??? because Point One LLC possesses unique qualifications to deliver IETMs enhanced with interactive 3D simulations and deployable to hand-held Portable Digital Assistants (ODAs).. See Numbered Note 22. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources, however, may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency.
