- Department of the Navy (DON), Military Sealift Command (MSC), Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Ship Support Unit (SSU) Guam anticipates awarding an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for emergent, unplanned, and unscheduled ship repair support to Guam Industrial Services, Inc, doing business as Guam Shipyard (GSY), Santa Rita Guam. *FEDBIZOPS Buyers Link Numbered Note 22 applies. See below. The repair support will be provided to USNS vessels, USS vessels, USN service craft, and other U.S. vessels as assigned. These type of repairs are typically performed under Casualty Report (CASREP) or emergent Voyage Repair (VR) scenarios to vessels which are typically forward-deployed in support of DON tasking. These type of repairs will be accomplished via delivery orders issued under the IDIQ contract. The period of performance is anticipated to be 01 OCT 2007 through 30 SEP 2008. The annual estimated man-hour requirement is anticipated to be 60,000. The solicitation will require the successful offeror to posses a U.S. Navy issued Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR). Interested pesons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement)after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determing whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
