- TACP-Modernization Vehicular Communications System INDUSTRY DAY The 640th Electronic System Squadron, Tactical Air Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program Office is hosting an Industry Day Conference for the procurement of the Vehicular Communications System (VCS). The purpose of the Industry Day is to communicate the requirements for the future acquisition of the VCS. The Air Force plans to establish a multiple year incrementally funded contract. The Industry Day will be held in Hampton, VA. Specifics are provided in following paragraphs: 1. CONFERENCE: The conference will take place on 21-22 May 2007 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST) at the Holiday Inn Hampton Hotel & Conference Center, 1815 W Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA (757) 838-0200. The conference will be UNCLASSIFIED. Please check with the front desk for appropriate conference room location. Due to space limitations, attendance is limited to no more than 3 representatives per company. Any company that wishes to attend the conference must convey its interest and the names of individuals attending no later than 12:00 PM (EST) May 18, 2007. MASS BRIEFING: The TACP-M program will give a mass briefing to all registrants regarding the VCS acquisition effort. The briefing will start promptly at 0930, 21 May 2007. The briefing will last approximately 90 minutes. Questions raised during the conference will be recorded and written answers will be made available to everyone at the Hanscom AFB Electronic Request for Proposals Bulletin Board (HERBB), http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil 3. ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS: The TACP-M program will entertain separate 1 hour one-on-one sessions, which will be limited to Prime Contractors only. The session will be between 1300-1700, on 21 May, 2007 and 0900-1200 & 1300-1700 on 22 May, 2007. Interested parties must reserve a time slot. Time slots are on a first come, first reserved basis. Reservations should be made by 1200 ET, 18 May 2007. Reservations must be done by direct contact only, no voicemail or email reservations. Unallocated slots, if available, can be reserved in person on 21 May between 1200-1230 at the conference. Please contact the POC, Mr. Anh Le to reserve a time slot. Furthermore, please bring all materials needed for your respective sessions, to include portable overhead projectors if necessary. 4. Any questions regarding the TACP-M Vehicular Communications System Industry Day should be submitted no later then 17 May 2007, 1200 ET via email to the contract specialist, Mr. Aaron Giachetti, Aaron.Giachetti@hanscom.af.mil , with a copy to Mr. Anh Le. Answers will be posted on the HERBB by close of business, 18 May 2007. 5. An acquisition description for the VCS effort will be posted along with this announcement. 6. NOTE: THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this announcement or at the Industry Day and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
