- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using simplified acquisition procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation shall be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00244-07-T-0524. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-016 and DFARS Change Notice 20070426. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 334511 and the Small Business Standard is 750 employees. This is a sole source action with CorNic Technologies, Ellicott City, MD, due to CorNic Technologies owing the proprietary rights to the engineering drawings and to the control software for the FURY system. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Detachment Seal Beach requests: CLIN 0001: FURY Amplifier Equipment, Installation and Documentation per attachment as broken down in SUB-CLINs; SUB-CLIN 0001AA: (1 lot) FURY Amplifier Equipment; SUB-CLIN 0001AB: (1 lot) Labor for CLIN 0001; SUB-CLIN 0001AC (1 lot) Travel for CLIN 0001; and CLIN 0002: One (1) Lot, FURY Amplifier Equipment. FOB Destination. FOB Delivery: Fall on, NV. Requiring Activity: Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division, CA. The proposed contract action is for commercial sup plies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 2 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Award Criteria: Award will be made upon price reasonableness determination, contractor determination of responsibility with the meaning of FAR Part 9, and acceptance to th e provisions set forth herein.
