- This is Modification No. 2 to the synopsis entitled GAS STRUT SEPERATION SYSTEM FOR ARES I FIRST STAGE, RFI-ARES-I-PS41-0507 which was posted on May 8, 2007. The purpose of this modification is to answer questions that was asked before the due date. 1. Is the required force of 50,000 lbs per strut or the total force? Answer: Per strut. 2. Is 50,000 lb-force an average force throughout the stroke, minimum, or a maximum value? Answer: Maximum value. 3. How many struts do you expect to use for the separation system? Answer: Eight. The due date for responses is not extended. Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
