Description
FLAMMABLE LIQUID STORAGE LOCKERS FOR PHARMACY CONSOLIDATION IAW FOLLOWING STATEMENT OF WORK. *************General: Supplier shall engineer, manufacture, deliver and install (2) four hour fire-rated, flammable liquid storage lockers in accordance with the specifications and performance standards adopted by Robins Air Force Base. Units must comply with requirements of AFI 91-501 chapter 22.4.10 and NFPA 30 Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.************ Scope of Supply: 1. Provide (2) complete and fully contained enclosures for the store of flammable and combustible materials. Units shall be fully wired for power and alarm. a. Units shall have nominal dimensions of 16 FT -11 IN long x 11FT ? 6 IN wide with 8 FT interior height. Each unit shall have one 3FT - 0 personal door and one 8 FT wide overhead door. Supplier shall submit sketch for coordination and approval of layout prior to fabrication. b. Doors will be UL Labeled with three (3) hour fire rating. Personnel doors are to be provided complete with lockset and door closers. Overhead doors are to be provided with chain pull system and fuse-link to close in the event of fire. c. Units shall be constructed with approved four (4) hour fire rated wall system. d. Units shall be designed and constructed for explosion relief venting through roof panels and in accordance with NFPA 68 Standard on Explosion Protection by Deflagration Venting. e. Units will be located outside with full exposure to rain and weather. Construction shall be weather tight and meet the requirements of the current UBC for seismic and live loading. Exterior color to be white. f. Wall and roof construction to be insulated to R-13 or better rating. g. Units shall be constructed such that it has interior spill containment with collection sumps. Collection sumps should have 5 gallon capacity or greater. Flooring shall have minimum live load rating of 250 psf. h. Each unit is to be provided with an exhaust fan. Fan must be explosion proof, Class I Div. I with dedicated switch located on exterior. Make up air damper shall be UL listed 3 hour rated fire damper with fusible link at 165 DEGREES F. Fan to be interlocked with fire alarm/suppression. Fan should have capacity to provide 6 air changes per hour. i. Each unit shall be equipped with a dry chemical fire suppression and fire alarm in compliance with NFPA 17 Standard for Dry Chemical Extinguishing Systems, NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code and base standard practices. System to provide contact for remote notification. j. Each unit shall be provided with interior lighting. Units should have a minimum of two, 200 watt fixtures. Fixtures must be UL listed, explosion proof, with proper guarding. Provide power distribution panel, 60 amp, 240 volt, single phase, UL listed. All fittings, boxes, and appliances to be rated for Class I Div. I service. k. Each unit shall be equipped with a HVAC to maintain temperatures between 40 DEGREES F and 80 DEGREES F. *************** 2. Provide all labor, equipment, tools, consumables and supervision as required to place and anchor units on concrete pad provided by owner. a. Supplier to coordinate delivery and installation through SABER Construction Manager. Supplier shall provide 14 days advance notice when units will be ready for delivery and is responsible of making proper arrangements for access to the site for all of their employees, and sub-contractors. b. Supplier will provide for transportation, off-loading, placement of units, anchoring, grounding and installation. c. Units will be located adjacent to each other. Site is located at Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Georgia.*************** 3. Owner shall be responsible for: a. Concrete pad for mounting of units. b. Connection of electrical power. c. Connection of fire alarm to base monitoring system.*************** This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. **************** The following clauses are applicable to subject solicitation: FAR 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors), 52.212-2 (Evaluation - Commercial Items), 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items), 52.212-4 (Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items). IAW clause 52.212-2, the evaluation factors shall be: Price and Price related factors, Conformance to performance specifications and Past Performance. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-15, Effective 28 Sept 2006. ***************** NAICS Code 332311.
