- Description
- The USDA, Agricultural Research Service in Albany, California has a requirement for a gel documentation instrument. This instrument must have a cooled, CCD camera with super-OD and 4-million pixel resolution capable of delivering image acquisition at 12 to 16 bits of data in a 16-bit file format (extended dynamic range performance) with a measurable performance exceeding 5.0 OD using luminescence plate standard 16-bit file archiving; real-time image acquisition readout window; superior chemiluminescence sensitivity with approximately 50% Q/E at 425nm; a Peltier cooled camera to ?28 deg C (Absolute and Regulated) for maximum signal-to-noise ratio that includes dark current reduction providing superior low light sensitivity for chemiluminescence; scientific grade 0 CCD sensor; fast f 1.8 lens for superior light gathering; light-tight cabinet with easy to access camera and filter wheel for self installation and maintenance; intelligent control for all lighting and filters for cabinet control either mechanically with multi-image cabinet or through system software for automatic light shutoff after image capture; 5 pre-set binning CCD architecture capabilities; upgradeable camera systems capability without need of new light cabinet; zoom ROI feature within image acquisition window for easy image size enhancements; reliable, powerful and easy to use software; security feature within imaging/analysis software for user log-on with or without passwords and a log for number of prints made by each user; image acquisition and analysis tools in one software program for automatic image acquisition and import into enhancement and analysis tools; software features that include file mobility, copy and overlay annotations; capability to save overlays for densitometry and spot counting; powerful image analysis tools for densitometry, spot counting, molecular weight analysis, band pattern matching with dendrograms, and automatic scoring; auto exposure with different pre-sets for different applications as well as custom setting for user control; and a site license stand-alone software for unlimited number of users.
