Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure the following items: Brand Name or Equal: 1) 7201--MicroPoint Mosiac Digital Diaphragen System for Nikon TE2000 Microscope, consisting of: - Digital diaphragm optical head with micromirror array and optics with transmission spectra (< 350 to 800nm), two integrated light paths including one for mask side illumination and the other for standard racal time fluorescence and microscope adapter. Software package with translucent video overlay targeting system for selective illumination of any shape, form factor or geometry targeting menus for single or multiple features that can be continuously updated in real time or digitally activated and with the ability to save, edit & recall Mosiac Digital Diaphragm arrays. Computer with Matrox Framegrabber, TTL I/O, flat panel display, keyboard, mouse; 2)--7240 Large magnetic beamsplitter plug, blank; 3)--7239-30-70 (7296) Large magnetic beamsplitter plug, 30%Illum, /70% Laser; 4)--7246-1 Large magnetic beamsplitter plug with diehroic beamsplitter for simultaneous mask side uncaging and widefield observation of GFP; 7247 Large magnetic beamsplitter plug, 100% Illumination; 5)--7310-N2000 Fluorescence insert for Nikon TE2000; 6)--2261-9901 Laser delivery / safety filter for 440/365 Nikon; 7)--7253 Large GFP Exciter Filter in Holder, 480X20 nm; 8)--7232 Lamphouse tube assembly with heat filter, filter slot, and shutter; 9)--7235-F 38mm Nikon HMX female; 7238-F 38mm Zeiss flange female; 10)--8200 (7301) Ion laser with power supply, external keypad controller, nosepiece, randomizer with fiber optic element, and laser delivery / steering optics & zoom module; 11) --4230100000000000 Lamphouse HBO 100; 12)-- 4230200000000000 ACHR APL Collector HBO 100; 13)--3803019350000; Burner HBO 103 W/2; 43260499G1000000 Power Supply F/HBO Lamp; 7377 Three channel TTL synchronization module with delay and duration input/outputs; 14)--8202 (8030) Mosiac illumination input shutter; 15)--8202-C Shutter Controller; 16)--2273 27mm Crossline; 17)--2265 Fiber Safety-Lock Set; 18)--7279 (2277) Mosiac Laser Interlock; 19)--1932 Installation & Training; 4500 Shipping & Handling. The ?equal? items must meet the characteristics of the brand name item to be acceptable for award. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation, provides the best value, with price and technical factors equally important in award evaluation. The Mosaic Digital Diaphragm system used a DMD-digital micromirror device ? to produce digital/targeted illumination on a optical microscope; The optical microscope head with DMD array has transmission spectra of 350 to 800nm. The Mosiac Digital Diaphram System software package includes a translucent video overlay targeting system for selective illumination of any shape, form factor or geometry from the diffraction limit up to the entire field of view, targeting menus for single or multiple features that can be continuously updated in real time or digital activated, the ability to save, edit and recall Mosaic Digital Diaphragm arrays and TTL?s in and out for synchronization. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-261 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis.
