Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This is a multi-service Sole Source (see note 22) requirement for Sig-Sauer P229 and P339 Pistols. The solicitation will be issued utilizing other than full and open competition procedures under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304?(1), one source or limited sources. An offer will be solicited from SiGARMS, 18 Industrial Drive, Corporate Park, Exeter, NH 03833. The P239 9MM minimum quantity will be 10 each and maximum of 1,250 each. The P239 40 Caliber minimum quantity will be 600 each and maximum of 500 each. The P229 40 Caliber minimum quantity will be 1,400 each and maximum of 500 each. The minimum quantity will be purchased at time of award and a Maximum (in addition to the minimum) can be purchased over the 5 year life of the contract. Commercial packaging shall be required for these components. Firm-fixed price, 5-year, IDIQ contracts are anticipated. Delivery of the minimum quantity is required to begin within 2 months after contract award, and shall be FOB destina tion. The anticipated delivery locations are several locations within the continental United States. Inspection and acceptance will be at source. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractor compliance with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. To be eligible for award, contractor must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet @ www.ccr.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The solicitation will be available on or about 05 June 2007 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. If the solicitation is amended for any reason pri or to the closing date, offerors are responsible for surveillance of t he solicitation/ internet site for amendments and insuring all amendments are included in their proposal.
