Description
The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration (Southwestern) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to supply and replace Disconnect Switches at its Carthage and Neosho Substations located in southwestern Missouri. The project requires, but is not limited to, furnishing, delivering, and installing thirteen (13) 161-kv manual group operated air break disconnect switches without grounding blades at the Carthage Substation; furnishing, delivering, and installing forty-eight (48) 161-kv station post insulators at the Carthage Substation; furnishing, delivering, and installing eight (8) 161-kv manual group operated air break disconnect switches without grounding blades at the Neosho Substation; furnishing, and delivering one (1) 161-kv manual group operated air break disconnect switch without grounding blades at the Neosho Substation; furnishing, delivering, and installing fifty-one (51) 161-kv station post insulators at the Neosho Substation; furnishing, delivering, and installing jumpers, bus fittings, and bus height adapters as required for the installed disconnect switches at both substations; and, removing and disposing of existing designated disconnect switches, cap and pin insulators, and bus jumpers at both substations. This project is a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237130 and the small business size standard is $31,000,000.00. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000 and the required project completion date is May 18, 2008. Contractor registration in the Government???s Central Contractor Registry (CCR) is required in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may be completed and information regarding the registration process may be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov. The solicitation package will be issued on or about May, 30, 2007 with bids being due on or about July 10, 2007.
