- This is a synopsis for the acquisition of roofing maintenance, repair, and minor construction work to support the United States Air Force Academy to include Farrish Memorial Recreation Area and Bullseye Auxiliary Airfield. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for a broad range of roofing maintenance, roofing repair, and roofing minor construction work on various real property facilities at installations covered under this contract, including design and engineering services incidental to construction. The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a base period and four one-year options, not to exceed five years. The magnitude is anticipated between $150,000 and $7,500,000 with a minimum guarantee of $150,000 to be issued as task order 0001. The solicitation information will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Request for Proposal FA7000-07-R-0025 estimated issue date is on or about 6 June 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder?s mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. This acquisition will be solicited as unrestricted. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160, Roofing Contractors and the small business size standard is $13 million. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on best value to include past performance.
