Description

This is a notice of the Government?s intent to negotiate a purchase order with CONNECTED OFFICE PRODUCTS, Inc. dba TOSHIBA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS (CAROLINAS) for RISOGRAPHS replacements, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for HC5000 Systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The RISO brand is used exclusively by the US Army service schools and sister services schools to teach light press operations to military Lithographers. The RISO brand allows for continued interoperability and parts compatibility along with familiarity of and certification training of existing machines. Currently, Connected Office products, Inc. is the only authorized reseller for RISO?s duplicating systems, for Bladen, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Robeson and Sampson counties in North Carolina. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis is solely the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses are due no later than 21 May 2007, 12:00 noon EST. Interested organizations may submit information for consideration of their capabilities and qualifications to James Modlin at modlinja@soc.mil.
