Description
Airborne Network Technology Review Days Announcing the 3rd Annual "Airborne Network Technology Review Days" to be conducted at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Utica, New York on 10 - 12 July 2007; sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Rome, NY and the Electronic Systems Center (ESC), Hanscom AFB, MA, with the administrative support of the Erie Canal Chapter (NY) of AFCEA. The objective of the Review Days is to provide a forum for industry and academia to discuss with government representatives the technologies required for formulation of the deployable airborne network(s). These Review Days will highlight approaches and current plans by the DoD to deploy airborne networks, with special emphasis this year on the Joint Warfighter supported by an Airborne Network. Participants will have the opportunity to engage government leaders, researchers and scientists on approaches to solving the obstacles of networking airborne assets, review technology demonstrations, and discuss various experiments and practices. This year's Review Days feature: a) Keynote addresses from the AF Chief of Warfighting Integration, LtGen Michael Peterson; the Director of Operations for DISA, RADM Elizabeth Hight; the Director of C4 for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, VADM Nancy Brown; the Director of DARPA, Dr. Anthony Tether; and the Director of US Army CERDEC, Mr. Gary Martin; b) overviews and technology briefs from the Military Services and OSD on their perspectives for implementing an airborne network, c) technology presentations from government and non-government researchers, including JFCOM, OPNAV, FAA, MITRE, Lincoln Laboratory plus d) two Technology Panel sessions focused on technology challenges to realizing a joint warfighter airborne network. Posters and demonstrations highlighting some of AFRL and ESC's current technology developments will be available. Additional Review Days details are available at: http://www.afceaeriecanal.org/ant//. This year on Wednesday, 11 July, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Erie Canal Chapter, is sponsoring the Airborne Network Technology Expo 2007 concurrently with the Review Days. The purpose of Expo 2007 is to provide industry an opportunity to present their perspectives on advancing airborne network technology and to facilitate discussions among academia, industry and government (military and civilian). Expo 2007 is structured to provide attending government, industry, and university representatives the opportunity to view industry Exhibits, Poster Boards, PowerPoint presentations and/or PC Demos representing their AN-related technology efforts. AFCEA's Expo 2007 will be held across the street from the Radisson Conference Center, where the AFRL/ESC Airborne Network Technology Review Days 2007 will be held. Vendors wishing to reserve exhibit space, please access the Exhibitor Registration and Information Package at http://www.afceaereicanal.org. Unfortunately, we request that organizational participation at the Review Days be limited to a maximum of two (2) individuals per organizational location as the total attendance will be limited to 300 persons. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified.
