- Description
- On March 8, 2007, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Johnson Space Center released a Source Sought announcement (Synopsis # 02272007) indicating NASA?s intent to procure Agency-wide Protective Services. NASA will hold a Protective Services Industry Day on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 between 10:00am EDT and 12 Noon. The event will be held at NASA Headquarters, 300 E. Street SW, Washington, DC 20546 in Headquarters Auditorium. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Interested parties are required to pre-register for Industry Day via the NASA Protective Services (NPS) website: http://nps.ksc.nasa.gov . All interested parties must register by MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2007. Registration is required for each attendee. Interested Parties are limited to two (2) attendees per company. The website will provide further event logistics. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON MONDAY JUNE 4, 2007. GOALS The goals of Industry Day are to: 1. Promote competition on the proposed NASA Agency-wide Protective Services acquisition. 2. Enhance Industry understanding of the existing Protective Services requirements at the various NASA Centers. 3. Give industry an opportunity to build teaming arrangements. 4. Give the Government an opportunity to introduce key players and preliminary aspects of the procurement to Industry. 5. Give the Government another means to collect market research data. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS This Industry Day will focus on current Protective Services requirements, a broad prospective of future requirements and other pertinent information. Question(s) related to the NPS will only be considered if received in writing on the day of the event or received via email at PS-SEB@nasa.gov. NOTE 1: A draft Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released on a subsequent date. After the draft RFP is released, a Pre-proposal Conference will be held to allow industry an opportunity to ask questions related to the Draft RFP. At that time, Industry will be solicited to submit written questions, so the Government may officially respond. All written questions and answers will be made available on the NASA Protective Services website. http://nps.ksc.nasa.gov/NPS/default.cfm NOTE 2: SEATING IS LIMITED, therefore seating will be on a first-come, first service basis. Those attendees pre-registered will have priority seating. Interested Parties are limited to two (2) attendees per company. NOTE 3: All registered companies will be posted on the Interested Parties List. Additional information on the acquisition schedule, the pre-proposal conference, site visit as well as an interested party list will be posted to the website.
