ADDRESS: 2 BRIDGE STREET, OLD SAYBROOK, CT 06475*** The USDA, Animal Plant Inspection Service (APHIS), International Service (IS), Riverdale, MD has a requirement for 35 single hotel rooms, for 13 night, in the New London CT area checking in Aug 5, 2007 and checking out August 18, 2007. A fixed price purchase order will result. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE MAY 24, 2007 BY 10:00 A.M. local time. Submit written or faxed quotation to the Purchasing Section at (612) 370-2136 Attn: Susan Fedorko. Simplified Acquisition procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular. NOTE: 52.212-3 MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED WITH THE OFFERORS QUOTE. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. All evaluation factors other than cost or price, when combined are significantly more important than cost or price. To be eligible for award, offeror must meet minimum requirements listed below. Any additional services/amenities will be considered in the award decision. ALL OFFERS SHALL CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Company Name, Address, Contact Person, Phone number, DUNS number and Tax I.D. number. SPECIFICATIONS: The USDA requires a block of 35 individual hotel sleeping rooms for 13 nights in New London CT for the participants of the International Course on Transboundary Animal Diseases August 5, 2007 through August 18, 2007 for a total of 455 room nights. LOCATION AND ACCOMODATIONS: The hotel must be located within 20 miles of the Government Boat Pier at Old Saybrook, CT. Hotel must be located in a safe, well-lighted area, Laundry Facilities on site. All sleeping rooms must be in the same hotel. Mini refrigerators and microwaves in every sleeping room. Available Internet access and phone charges included in room rate. Ample adjustable room lighting. DINING FACILITIES: Dining facility must be readily accessible on the hotel premises and/or available optional dining facilities or accommodations within hotel walking distance. ACCESSIBILITY: The hotel must be handicap accessible in accordance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), provide adequate accommodations for individuals with mobility, sight and hearing disabilities or impairments in the rest rooms. Conference and Meeting Room space will not be required. Quotes shall be within the prevailing Government per diem rate for New London CT. The USDA will provide a list of participants. This synopsis/solicitation is for a maximum total of 455 sleeping room nights. Quotes shall be based on a per night accommodation of $________________ AND Total number of nights: 455 X $_____________ equals $_______________ TOTAL COST.
