- Sources Sought Notification for fabrication, inspection and delivery of AP Sample Vials used in the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF). This is only an expression of interest. There is no RFP available at this time. Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC (MOX Services) is seeking suppliers/subcontractors with experience supplying AP Sample Vials (Reference 10CFR50, Appendix B Quality Assurance Program). The AP Sample Vials to be acquired will support the construction of a Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) to be built at the Department of Energy (DOE) Savannah River Site (SRS). The AP Sample Vials will be purchased under a Requirements Subcontract. AP Sample Vials - Description The liquid sample vials are consumable and are used to transfer liquid samples between process units and the laboratory for analysis purposes. The vials are filled with liquid sampled by suction (vacuum in the vial). The vial is composed of polyethylene bottle and polyethylene screwed plug. The seal is performed by a septum plug and tightening torque between the bottle and the plug. A bar code and a printed number for internal follow-up in the laboratory area will identify the vials. The following are the characteristics for the Vials: Vial Body: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Screw Cap: HDPE Plug: Hypalon Interested parties must possess a working NQA-1 or 10CFR50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program. Parties not meeting the above requirements may be eliminated from further consideration, without notice, for this solicitation. Interested parties are to submit Pre- Qualification Packages for the Company or Team as a whole. Companies that team shall have a Prime Supplier/Subcontractor designated. The Prime Supplier/Subcontractor will be the direct interface between the Team and MOX Services. Team Pre-Qualification packages shall be written to cover the Prime Supplier/Subcontractor and key teaming Companies and shall be submitted by the Prime Subcontractor. Pre-Qualification packages can be obtained by emailing a request to Gale Cone at ghcone@moxproject.com or visiting our company website at http://www.dcsmox.com/procurement/vendorform.html. Companies or Teams that have a current MOX Services approved Pre-Qualification package on file need not submit another package, unless the submitted package requires updating. A Letter of Interest to submit a proposal from the Company or the Team Prime Supplier/Subcontractor shall be emailed to Janice Olive at jrolive@moxproject.com. The Letter of Interest shall state that the Supplier/Subcontractor has a Pre-Qualification package on file with MOX Services or that the Pre-Qualification package will be forwarded. Letters of Interest are due by 4 PM EDST on 24 May 2007, with Pre-Qualification packages submitted by 4 PM EDST on 15 June 2007. This is a Sources Sought Notification for planning purposes and to evaluate current market conditions. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor shall it be construed as an announcement for the issuance of future RFPs.
