- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of 100 different spare parts for the ASR-11 Antenna system manufactured by Andrew Canada Inc located in Whitby Ontario, Canada. Attachment 1 provides a list of these parts with their national stock number and Andrew Canada's part number. These items are critical to ensure serviceable operating conditions of the ASR-11 Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) System used by the FAA and DoD to control air traffic operations in terminal airports and controlled airspace. The requirement is for a base year and includes option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods, to be exercised at the sole discretion of the FAA. The FAA does not have specifications or drawings. Contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof of rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Vendors must respond directly to the contracting officer identified. This announcement shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. Responders to this announcement may be based to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
