Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This requirement is being issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) VA-255-07-RQ-0293. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This government contemplates a firm fixed price contract from this procurement. This procurement will be an unrestricted acquisition. Far Part 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program applies to this procurement. The solicitation and document incorporates provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-17, Effective 15 May 2007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238220 with a size standard of 13 million dollars. All prospective offers must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration. Offerors may register online at https://www.bpn.gov/CCR/scripts/index.html. The award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable offeror. The quotation shall consist of one Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001, Quantity: 1 Unit of Issue: Job, Description: The contractor shall provide all material and labor necessary to and install a VA provided Trane chiller unit model CG-SVX02C-EN in building One (1) Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) 4801 Linwood Blvd Kansas City, Mo 64128 1. SCOPE: The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, and parts necessary for installation of a Trane Chiller Model CG-SVX02C-EN in building one (1) Radiology at the Kansas City VAMC, Kansas City, Missouri. 2. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: Provide installation services for Trane Chiller model CG-SVX02C-EN, Ser: C07B01426 provide all labor, materials and supervision to isolate existing Chiller from system, disconnect electrical and piping, lockout tag out all equipment, lift off old chiller and remove from station, install chiller VA supplied replacement chiller for the existing package chiller unit, once new chiller is in place, restore chiller to full operation including: re-pipe all lines to chiller, reconnect electrical, reinstall heat tracking of lines, re-insulate all lines with aluminum jacket, Start-up and check out system, the replacement will be done on a schedule provided by the Operations Foreman, Schedule of service will be all day Friday and Saturday and Sunday, if work is completed all in one day, Saturday and Sunday will not be needed, the Operations Foreman will be on duty to answer any questions. The contractor will perform his/her duties during specified hours at the Kansas City VAMC. 3. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Contractor Check-in - The contractor's representative will schedule all work with the Operations Foreman Steve Homan Kansas City Veterans Hospital at (816) 861-4700 x56807, prior to performance of services. Contractor shall report all issues to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) Steve Homan while performing work at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Offerors that fail to furnish required representations or technical information as required by FAR Clause 52.212-1 cited below or reject the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded from consideration. If you are registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website at https://orca.bpn.gov/ and have the information posted you are only required to submit a signed copy of section (k) of FAR Clause 52.212-3 in place of FAR 52.212-3. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (Feb 2007) and FAR 52.247-34 FOB Destination (Nov 1991). FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statues of Executive Order Commercial Items (Nov 2006) apply to this acquisition. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
