- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine the interests and capabilities of 8a firms with regard to an upcoming acquisition for design/build services at the Boise Regional Office, ID. The project will be located on the grounds of the VA Medical Center, 500 Fort Street, Boise, Idaho 83702; and it is adjacent to the Boise Federal Building. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, design services and materials for the design and construction of approximately 25,000 (plus or minus ten percent) gross square feet (GSF) Class "A" Office Building as well as all associated site improvements and utilities. The work will include site work providing approximately eighty (80) surface parking spaces adjacent to the new building, have a floor live load capacity of not less than one hundred (100) pounds per square foot (unreduced) throughout, comply with Interagency Security Committee Design Criteria for New Federal Office Buildings and Major Modernization projects as well as other security guidelines, comply with requirements of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS). The design and construction shall comply with all Federal, State, local, and Department of Veterans Affairs Building and Life Safety codes, standards and guidelines. The Building may be required to be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified or Energy Star certified. The design shall include a geothermal heating system. The anticipated design and construction completion duration is 425 calendar days from date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS is 236220. REQUIRED RESPONSES: 8a firms having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses must include the following information and are limited to 10 pages or less: 1. Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address. 2. Bonding capacity. Provide your firm's individual and aggregate contract bonding capacity. 3. Design/build experience of similar projects in size and scope. Provide the following information on your three most recent projects of a similar size and scope to this project: (a) Contracting Agency Address & contracting officer's name and telephone number. (b) Contract Number, date and amount of award, date of completion for your portion of the project. (c) Description of Items/Services provided under the contract. (d) If any bonding was provided, what was the amount of bonding? (e) If performance was as a subcontractor, please provide the name, address and telephone number of the point of contact at the prime contractor. (f) State whether or not there were any performance issues under the contract which resulted in the issuance of a Cure Notice or Show Cause Notice by the contracting officer.
