Description

The Government has identified a requirement to procure 750 PIEZO Cables/Pin assemblies to support the Joint Navy/AF effort to test the ignitability of PBXN-109 with 3 types of fuze boosters (Tetryl, N-7, and CH-6). The contractor shall fabricate and deliver the final assembly cable. The vendor, Dynasen Inc, is the only known vendor that makes this pressure gauge. This is a sole source procurement because all of the previous testing in the series was performed with this specific instrumentation and modifying the test setup can have a detrimental effect on the comparability of future tests to previous ones, which is a required element; and these pins/cables are compatible with our testing instrumentation that records the data. The contractor shall fabricate cables using the following parts in accordance with the Navy test requirements: Item 1, 750 ea PIEZO PIN # CA-1136 x 1 inch Item 2, 750 ea Cable assembly # CA-111146-3*25 Feet. The 750 Piezo Cables are required to be delivered by 1 Aug 07. The Piezo Cables shall be delivered to: Warhead Development Branch, 478200D 2400 E Pilot Plant Rd, Stop 5402 China Lake, CA 93555-6107. Notes 1 and 22 apply.
