- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: The 412 TW/EWG, Benefield Anechoic Facility at Edwards AFB is seeking to upgrade an existing intercom system based wholly on Clear-Com components. The current intercom system comprises a master intercom switch, 25 permanent TCR seats, 7 permanent laboratory seats, and capability to place 7 additional stations to suit test customer requirements in the Test Chamber, Hoist House & Data Acquisition Center. The follow-on components must be compatible with the current intercom system including the required fiber optic interfaces in order to maintain effective test support. REQUIREMENTS: Intercom components includes; 36port Digital Matrix, -2display, 2port Frame-to-panel interface, digital wireless base station, digital wireless belt pack, active transceiver antenna, transceiver antenna splitter box, 5-way Battery Clip Charger, belt pack battery pack w/batteries, 1-channel 0.4 Amp Portable Power Supply, 1-Channel Standard belt pack, single-ear standard headset, single-ear lightweight headset, configuration software, David Clark Headset Helmet, and modification is needed to intercom station rear panel for XLR headset jack. To be installed on all intercom stations on this order. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the Intercom Station upgrade or equivalent, listed above. Firms responding to this notice must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the solicitation number and indicate whether or not you are a small business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in JUN 2007.
