- The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Warren Michigan is conducting a Sources Sought Market Survey in accordance with FAR Part 10. This notice neither constitutes an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it re strict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. A requirement exists for HMMWV Ambulance Shelters. The total estimated quantity of ambulances required is 710. The purpose of this Market Survey is to identify sources and the availability of applicable lightweight shelters for the ambulance patient encl osure to integrate onto Government provided M1152 HMMWVs. This market survey is being conducted so that we may determine the number of competitive suppliers that can provide the required shelters and meet production schedules. Your comments and recommendations are requested since the information gathered in the survey will contribute to the decision as to how we approach this acquisition. Any supplemental information or commercial literature describing your companys capabilities in design or production of vehicles or equipment for emergency medical service lightweight armor engineering safety supportability quality or other information not specifically requested in this Market Survey would also be useful. Does your company have experience with U.S. Armed Forces special purpose vehicles specifically tactical vehicles including the HMMWV? 6. What relevant Government and commercial experience do you have providing engineering services (drawing support engineering analysis test support) related to enclosed shelters for special purpose vehicles? Which of those described include features for emergency medical service? 7. Describe your companys experience and ability to manufacture special purpose mobile enclosed shelters for tactical vehicles? Do any of those shelters include features for emergency medical service? Include specific production capabilities and cite pro jected expected production capacity. How many years making these items? Does your company currently sell these or any other products to U.S. Armed Forces customers or other government agencies? 8. Describe each type of customer other than U.S. Armed Forces or other government agencies and what types of items you supply them. 9. Describe how you intend to provide customer support and monitor customer satisfaction and what type of support is available to the customer.
