- Solicitation N00421-07-T-0146 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with CTT, Inc. for the item listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The required Solid State Power Amplifier is in support of a depot level upgrade to power amplifier assembly, part number:8006-2064-2 used in the AN/SRQ-4 radio terminal set. The upgrade to the power amplifier assembly is required to reduce total ownership cost of the power amplifier assembly by reducing the unit repair cost and improving the mean time between failures. The solid state power amplifier required for this upgrade must pass form, fit, functional and environmental testing requirements for shipboard use in the upgraded power amplifier assembly, part number: 8006-2364-1. Only solid state amplifier part number: ASN/050-4340-45B in accordance with component specification control drawing SP8006-2320 revision C has successfully passed all qualification testing and is form fit and function compatible for use in the existing shipboard AN/SRQ-4 radio terminal set. This item is available only from CTT, Inc. Only CTT, Inc. can supply the requested Solid State Power Amplifiers that successfully passed qualification testing which included fit testing, functional testing, environmental stress screening thermal testing, environmental stress screening random vibration testing, temperature cycling testing, shipboard vibration testing and shock testing. CTT, Inc. is the only qualified manufacturer of the solid state amplifier, part number: ASN/050-4343-450B in accordance with component specification control drawing SP8006-2320 revision C and source control drawing 8006-2320 revision B. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001, Quantity 6 ea, P/N: ASN/050-4340-450B, Solid State Power Amplifier in accordance with component specification drawing SP8006-2320 revision C and source control drawing 8006-2320 revision B. The applicable NAICS is 335999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Award is expected 29 May 2007. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by 23 May 2007. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
