Description
THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO: 1) ADDTIONAL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS RE: REQUIREMENT Q9. What is the required coverage range for the two lightweight portable units? A9. 5 kilometers minimum (each) Q10. What is the required mast height for the portable mast systems? A10. Require the specific mast listed to also double for Force Protections / Communications requirements (Lights, cameras, etc), Mount antennas for relay (Harris SECNET 11, UHF, VHF LOS, etc). Q11. Please indicate which (make, model) SHF satcom system is proposed for use as a backhaul system. A11. Satellite system: Nera M4, BGAN: HNS 9201 / Thrane & Thrane E500, SHF: SWE-Dish IPT / FA150T, SHF: Hawkeye, SHF: SOCOM SOF Deployable Node, ISP VPN (Cable / DSL / wireless (JUNXION BOX / Wireless Bridge) Q12. What connectivity do you need on the Central GSM switching system? a.)T1 PRI to DSN certified switch; b.) SIP A12. Have various T1 PRI / BRI from Commercial provider (BellSouth and Verizon) Q13. Do you need to support secure calls to STE and Sectera wireline terminals? A13. The system is specifically for GSM secure phones and SME PDA devices. STE and SWT are not portable wireless systems. Q14. Please also advise capacity requirements for each of the portable field units. a. How many subscribers? b. How many BTS's operational at any one time? A14. When in stand alone mode, system has to be able to handle 7 simultaneous calls and automatically connect all phones in the area unless otherwise configured. Two BTS running at any one time if required. Q15. What BTS frequencies do you intend to deploy initially in these systems? a.) Sectera phones are tri-band and support 900, 1800 and 1900MHz only. b.) 900MHz propagates significantly better than 1800 and 1900MHz A15. GSM Secure phone and secure SME PDA devices are the primary devices. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (16-MAY-2007).
