- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a network server. Quotes must be in accordance with the format described in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified procedures as described in FAR 13.5 will be used for acquisition of this commercial item. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will be issued.Solicitation N00421-07-T-0140 is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-16. This is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 517910, and the small size standard in millions of dollars is $13.5. The Government intends to purchase CLIN 0001, network server, Quantity 24 each, which must be built to the design as shown in the specifications as per RFQ. CLIN 0002, 5 year maintenance agreement. The intent of these specifications is to obtain a fully integrated Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Network Server. Delivery of the network servers must occur within 30 days after award. Acceptance of the items shall be at destination. The contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Governments right under the inspection clause, nor does it limit the Governments rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the warranty. This warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable deliverable listed in the schedule. Products quoted must adhere to the aforementioned minimum salient characteristics to be fully responsive and satisfy the needs of the Government. The item being offered must qualify as a commercial item in accordance with the FAR definition. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered; paragraph (a) to this provision is completed as follows: technical capabilities and understanding of the work, past performance, and price; offeror capability is significantly more important than price. Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.213-3 OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS COMMERCIAL ITEMS (NOV 2006) with its quote. FAR 52.212-4 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (FEB 2007) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. DPAS Rating is not applicable.
