Description

Notice of Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns: (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions. As used in this provision: "Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern" (1) Means a small business concern (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service-disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). The VAMC Lebanon intends to award a construction contract for repair of bridge at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for repairs of bridge as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, drainage, grading and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. NAICS Code is 237310, Highway, Street and Bridge Construction, with a small business size standard of $31 million. Estimated construction cost is $100,000 to $200,000. A pre-bid conference will be held, date to be determined. IFB will be available on or about 1 June 2007. This solicitation is subject to availability of funds.
