- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System has a requirement to update the morgue at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C Division, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Contractor shall furnish all tools, material and supervision for Morgue Project. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for the Upgrade Morgue project as required by drawings and specifications. All work shall be done during normal work hours, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., unless directed by the VA. Work also requires working around ICRA requirements in a hospital setting around patients and staff. Construction cost range per VAAR 836-204 is between $500,000 and $1,000.000. The applicable NAICS code is 236200 with a small business standard of $31 million. Specifications, drawings, and forms for submitting a bid will be available to interested parties for downloading on or about May 30, 2007 through electronic data interchange at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copy requests of solicitation must be in writing and submitted to Kathleen Policicchio (04A1-H), VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 7, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Facility Management Conference Room (AN216) at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. NOTE: All offerors are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to Lynne.Dickerhoff@va.gov or by fax to 412-365-5444. Questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer until close of business seven (7) calendar days after the pre-bid (6-14-07) and responses will be provided to all providers on the Bidder's Mailing List. Questions received later than seven (7) calendar days after the Pre-Bid Conference will not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid-opening date. Bid opening will be on or about June 29, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. EST. All respondents must be registered in the CCR data base. Web address is http://www.ccr.gov and may be completed online. Representations and Certifications can be registered with VETS 100 at webpage http://vets100.cudenver.edu/. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at the FEDBIZOPPS Website. All bidders are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation from the FEDBIZOPPS website. This is a 100% set-aside for a service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Award is subject to the Availability of Funds.
