- Description
- This a sole sourece requirement for sustainment engineering services tht will result in a time and materials requirements contract for one basic and 3 option years. The purpose of this contract is to acquire specialized engineering support for the various platforms stated in the title. Tasks may include analysis, development of technical reporets, plans, recommendations, assist in identifying, correcting and resolving technical issues, identifying and evaluating alternative solutions. The contractor will provide all materials and services required to efficiently manage and accomplish the tasks covered by this requirement. The proposed contract action is for engineering services in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under authority of FAR 6.302. The source being solicited is McDonnell Douglas (cage code 43999)located in Long Beach, CA. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five days after date of publication of the synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not ot compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information recieved will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerens from offerors or potential offers during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not ot diminish the authortiy of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate governmental personnel. When requestedd the Ombudsman will maintian strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals or in the source selection process. Interesrted parties are invited to call the Ombudsmans at 405-736-3273.
