Description
The United States Government is looking for sources that can provide realistic targets to be installed on existing (hardwire and/or battery operated) target lifting mechanisms on live-fire (LF) training ranges. Targets will be used in a LF environme nt and are susceptible to a variety of direct fire munitions ranging from small arms to main gun. The target must be able to sustain extensive impacts, extreme environmental conditions, and be maintainable at the operator (trainer) level. The targets shall replicate a variety of friendly, enemy and neutral signatures when seen by the naked eye, 1 Generation Forward Looking Infrared (1GENFLIR) thermal imagers, 2GENFLIR thermal imagers, Thermal Weapons Sights (TWS; Light, Medium, Heavy), Enhanced Night Visio n Goggles (ENVG), and Advanced Combat Optical Gun (ACOG) sight, including US allied/coalition, neutral (civilian), and threat personnel and vehicles. Each type of target shall have four different target views available: frontal, left flank, right flank, an d rear. Information is requested for each type of target including, but not limited to, target material, dimensions, weight, required voltage, required amperage, the type of heating element or heating methodology, pricing info, and product availability. In terested vendors are also asked to provide their business size when responding to this synopsis. This market survey is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure or pay for supplies or services.
