Description

The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to enter into negotiations with Waters Corporation, 34 Maple Street, Milford, MA 01757 for a one (1) year maintenance agreement for a Waters-Micromass Autospec Mass Spectrometer System, to include the mass spectrometer, embedded PC, Masslynx software and updates, Water 2690 LC (S/N: M494). This maintenance agreement includes all parts and labor necessary to repair this instrument, telephone support, and one (1) preventative maintenance visit. The U. S. EPA believes Waters Corporation is the only vendor capable of satisfying this requirement. The period of performance is expected to be for twelve (12) months from 01 August 2007 through 31 July 2008. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339111 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 personnel. No request for quotation is available and this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. All interested, responsible, sources must respond by 13 June 2007. Interested vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the requirements outlined above and 2) provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received by 13 June 2007, to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government an order will be placed with Waters Corporation.
