- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract to Robocom Systems International to provide the Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center's (FAALC) Warehouse Management System (WMS) with software modifications and a WMS software metrics study that provides enhancements to the WMS Phase 2 capabilities to improve current business processes. All work included in this requirement pertain to the real time WMS as installed and customized for the FAALC by Robocom, as well as any ongoing changes made to the FAALC WMS Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. This specific requirement is to provide the FAALC with software modifications to Robocom's Inventory Management System (RIMS). The system was installed as a result of a competitively awarded contract to replace and enhance the FAALC Distribution Center's computerized dispatch system in 2002. Proprietary rights to the RIMS remain the property of Robocom.
