Description

DESCRIPTION: This project is for raising the 2,200 sf historic two-story wood frame Jacob Ebey House. The house has two chimneys and fireplaces that must be raised at the same time the structure is lifted. The house will then have to be blocked in place at a height of approximately three feet above existing grade to allow for work by NPS personnel that will include replacing the damaged foundation, repairing walls, flooring, interior walls, ceilings, chimneys and fireplaces. The house must then be lowered to a new foundation system by the contractor. The house and chimneys will then be connected to the foundation system by NPS personnel. Work will occur in July and August, 2007. LOCATION: The house is located on Cemetery Road in Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve, Island county, Washington, on lands managed by the National Park Service. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement open to business concerns of all sizes. The NAICS code for this project is 238990 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million.
