Description

The National Park Service issues this sources sought/notice of intent to sole-source with Dion Oil Company, LLC for supplying Diesel Fuel for M/V Fort Jefferson; a 110' aluminum crew/supply vessel owned and operated by Everglades National Park, and berthed at United States Coast Guard (USCG) Station in Key West, Florida. We anticipate a single fixed-price with economic price adjustment requirements-type contract for filling all actual purchase requirements during the remaining period of Fiscal Year 2007, with deliveries to be scheduled by placing orders with the contractor. We estimate two (2) deliveries per month (on average) with a maximum limitation of 7,000 gallons per order. A realistic estimated total quantity is 48,000 gallons, with an option to purchase increased quantity, as needed. Our intent behind this proposed acquisition is to acquire the immediate needs of the Park until such time the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) can put in place a 3-year contract with a supplier to service the Key West area. This acquisition is set-aside Small Business 100%. The applicable NAICS code is 424720, and the corresponding Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees (500 employees for non-manufacturers). This proposed acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 15, 16, 17 and other applicable Subparts. Pursuant to statutory authority, the agency hereby request offers from as many potential sources as is practicable under the circumstances. Any vendor interested in this business opportunity must state its intention in writing no later than 2 pm (central time) on Monday, June 4, 2007.
