Description
This announcement is a Market Survey/Request for Information. This announcement IS NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR) or REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) of any kind. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE AN 8(a) SET-ASIDE. NAICS Code 561499. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested party's expense. Final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The purpose of this survey is to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace, obtain information on available technology and innovative approaches that may fulfill its mission need, and gain insight into industry capabilities and best practices. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has a requirement to procure Mail and Distribution Services for the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Vendor will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to accomplish: processing of all incoming and outgoing mail for the MMAC; sorting inter-office mail, delivery and pickup including picking up all incoming mail from the US Post Office and both routing (daily ongoing) mail and priority mail. Customers include all Aeronautical Center organizations and tenant organizations in any and/or all of the Center buildings and off center sites. Initial delivery for letters, flats, boxes, express mail will begin from the Mail and Distribution Screening Facility after being x-rayed and inspected. The vendor will receive parcels from USPS, FEDEX, UPS, and other major carriers. All Parcels will be inspected. The parcels will vary in size and shape and will weigh up to 150 pounds. The number of parcels will vary from day to day not to exceed 5,000 parcels. The Vendor is responsible to catalogue parcels either manually or through automated capabilities for the tracking and verification. Expressions of interest shall be provided by close of business June 29, 2007, to the Contracting Officer via email using the following email address: diana.pickel@faa.gov. Firms submitting a response should provide the following information: (1) Name and address of company, (2) point of contact (include name, position within the company, telephone number, and email address), (3) a short narrative of the firm's capabilities (not to exceed one page), and (4) a completed Business Declaration form (attached).
