Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), contract for the purchase of Liquid Handler System in support of the AFRL at Eglin. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and is a 100% small business set-aside prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is F1TBAP7114A002. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516, with a small business size standard of 500. Please identify/confirm your business size in your response based upon this standard. This purchase request shall meet the following requirements: CLIN 0001: PROVIDE 1 EACH, AUTOMATED LIQUID HANDLER, SPECIFICATIONS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: BASIC CONFIGURATION: THE ALH SYSTEM MUST BE CAPABLE OF DEPOSITING INDIVIDUALLY METERED DROPS OF LIQUID SOLUTION IN AN ARBITRARY USER-PROGRAMMABLE SQUARE GRID PATTERN, ONTO A FLAT 76x51x6 mm SAMPLE SUBSTRATE. TYPICALLY, THE DEPOSITION SITES WILL BE 2 TO 10 mm APART, AND THE DEPOSITION GRID PATTERN WILL COVER MOST OF THE SUBSTRATE SURFACE. THE SYSTEM MAY INCLUDE AN EMBEDDED PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER OR ACCEPT COMMANDS FROM A SEPARATE PERSONAL COMPUTER. ANY SOFTWARE REQUIRED FOR THE PERSONAL COMPUTER TO CONTROL THE FUNCTIONING OF THE SYSTEM MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE WINDOWS XP OPERATING SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM MUST BE CAPABLE OF SUSTAINED OPERATION WITH COMMON ORGANIC SOLVENTS SUCH AS WATER, METHANOL, ETHANOL, ACETONE, ACETONITRILE, BENZENE, AND HEXANE. THE SYSTEM WILL INCLUDE ANY AND ALL POWER SUPPLIES AND CABLES NECESSARY FOR OPERATION USING 120 VAC 60 Hz POWER. MECHANICAL DIMENSIONS: THE SYSTEM EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS MUST BE NO GREATER THAN 4 FEET WIDE x 3 FEET DEEP x 4 FEET HIGH. SYSTEM PERFORMANCE: THE SYSTEM MUST BE CAPABLE OF POSITIONING THE SOLVENT DEPOSITION TIP AT THE SQUARE GRID DEPOSITION SITES ON THE SAMPLE SUBSTRATE WITH AN ABSOLUTE ACCURACY OF PLUS/MINUS 0.1 mm IN ALL THREE DIMENSIONS. THE SYSTEM MUST BE CAPABLE OF DISPENSING LIQUID VOLUMES OVER THE 2-20 MICROLITER RANGE WITH A MAXIMUM ERROR OF PLUS/MINUS 10 PERCENT. SERVICEABILITY AND WARRANTY: THE VENDOR WILL CLEARLY DESCRIBE WHICH PARTS ARE COVERED UNDER THEIR STANDARD WARRANTY, AND THE DURATION OF THE STANDARD WARRANTY. Delivery is FOB Destination.
