- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to perform pothole repair, spot leveling with hot bituminous pavement, the application of a 1" overlay of hot bituminous pavement, and the application of new and restripe traffic markings on three sections of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. Section one is approximately 8 miles in length between mileposts 194.7 and 202.7 in Choctaw County, Mississippi. This section will receive a 1" overlay and new traffic markings. Bid quantities for section one are as follows: 6,097.5 tons of hot bituminous pavement; 7.6 miles new broken yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); 3.0 miles new solid yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); and 16.0 miles new solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint). Section two is approximately 18.0 miles in length between mileposts 374.0 and 392.0 in Lawrence and Wayne counties, Tennessee; this section receives restriping only. Section three is approximately 15.25 miles in length between mileposts 427.45 and 442.7 in Williamson and Davidson counties, Tennessee; this section receives restriping only. Bid quantities for sections two and three are as follows: 15.4 miles restripe broken yellow centerline (40 mil hot spray paint); 43.56 miles restripe solid yellow centerline (40 mil hot spray paint); and 69.5 miles restripe solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint). Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in late summer, 2007. Work shall be concluded within 30 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about June 13, 2007, with original bids due on or about July 13, 2007 (see solicitation for exact date bids are due). The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
