- Description
- This is a Pre Solicitation Notice. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price Construction contract to re tube one boiler, make and model number Kewanee L3W-500, 84" Diameter 3-Pass Scotch Classic III, located at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Sheridan, Oregon. The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) Code for this acquisition is 811310. The contract amount is not expected to exceed $50,000.00. The solicitation will be a Total Small Business Set Aside The contractor shall provide all labor to remove and replace all the boiler tubes, inclusive of any and all associated work on the tube sheet face, provide hydrostatic testing, and warranty. The government will supply the new boiler tubes. The contractor shall be responsible for verification of all boiler data and specifications prior to bid offer and commencement of work. All workmanship shall conform to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IV. Contractor will acquire State of Oregon Boiler Repair Permit and arrange for final inspection by State of Oregon Certified Boiler Inspector. The work shall be completed within forty-five days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The solicitation will be available on or after June 13, 2004, with a site visit on or about June 25. Solicitations will be due on or about July 11 with an award date on or about July 16. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
