- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement for the site preparation work required to establish NEXCOM MDR at the Mansfield RCAG (MFDB) in Mansfield, OH. Work includes, but not limited to: 1. Furnish and install four (4) junction boxes mounted to the existing four (4) antenna tower platforms. 2. Furnish and install two (2) junction boxes mounted to the exterior wall of the existing RCAG equipment building and associated conduit for the building. Install a ground conductor from the newly installed junction boxes to the newly installed buried EES for the building. This conductor will be attached to a ground bar within the junction box to allow for transient protection. 3. Furnish and install underground RF cables from the new junction boxes installed at the antenna poles to the new junction boxes mounted on the equipment building. 4. Furnish and install an EES and lightning protection for the RCAG building and each antenna tower. Install new main, multi-point and single-point grounding plates. 5. Install new cable ladders from the equipment rack to the penetrations from the new junction boxes. 6. Remove and discard existing junction boxes, racks, cables and associated fittings above ground level and restore site. This task requires coordination with the TOR for the specific details and to avoid service disruption. 7. Miscellaneous associated work as indicated on the Project Drawings and Project Specifications. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer for this requirement. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract.
