- This is a notice of intent of The Louis Stokes Cleveland, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141 to negotiate, using sole source procurement procedures, with Philips Medical, a large business, to provide all parts, labor, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide on site service calls for a Cardiovascular FD-10 system as well as system diagnostic software, technical, and clinical assistance. The government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 (b).   Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 2pm May 31, 2007. Such information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government.  A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  All inquiries must be submitted by email to Contract Specialist Intern Jonathan Jewel at jonathan.jewel@med.va.gov telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor will responses be received after 2:00pm May 31, 2007.
