Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W912HZ-07-RADIOUPG is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Business under NAICS Code 443112 (SB threshold $8,000,000). The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Developm ent Center (ERDC) at Waterways Experiment Station (WES), Vicksburg, MS, Security Office has a requirement for: Provide Security Radio Upgrades ERDC Vicksburg 1.0 Background: This statement of work will specify the labor and materials necessary to upgrade the existing radio system currently operated by ERDC Vicksburg. The upgrade will encompass replacement of handheld radios, mobile radios, repeater, central stations, replaceme nt batteries, programming existing channels, chargers, and necessary equipment. This effort will support requirements to enhance, expand, repair and replace equipment to facilitate maintenance of the systems and to facilitate the increased security needs of ERDC Vicksburg. This scope will serve to inform the contracting office, contractor, and customers of the methods, work and deliverable to be provided. 2.0 Scope: Provide equipment and materials as shown in the tables below. The contractor shall also provide all other materials, including but not limited to, wiring, power supplies, software installation, programming, mounting hardware, connectors, splices, test ing, and all labor and equipment required to install, connect, and test the installed components of the security radio systems and their interconnections and interworkings with existing systems. The contractor shall also provide training to ERDC security personnel for all equipment provided. Motorola brand equipment, as indicated below, is required to achieve compatibility with existing ERDC communications infrastructure. This will facilitate clear and concise solutions for the problems. 4.2 The Contractor will provide all materials, equipment, labor, testing, and training required. 4.3 The Contractor will test equipment, and provide to the Government the results. The Contractor shall also test all installed equipment for correctness of operation and system integration, in the presence of government witnesses. 4.4 All existing equipment will remain properties of ERDC Vicksburg, and will be turned over to the ERDC Security Office. 4.5 All installations will take place at ERDC Vicksburg, to prevent disruption in the mission. 4.6 Completion of the contract shall be within thirty (30) days of contract award. 5.0 Government Representatives The Technical Representative is Mr. Tim Raines (601) 634-3112; Contracting Representative is Mr. Jack Peterson (601) 631-5358.
