Description

The US Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for acoustic calibration - design, assemble and calibrate single frequency acoustic devices with data acquisition system for use in-situ evaluation of suspended-sediment. This service is known to be available only from the University of Mississippi, National Center for Physical Acoustics as the only provider of the service because they have the calibration facilities on-site to calibrate an acoustic instrument for measurement of suspended-sediment concentration. The USGS is aware of no other source who can provide the above. Therefore, it intends to make an award to the University of Mississippi, National Center for Physical Acoustics, unless it is contacted by any vendor who believes they can provide the same service. Vendors are invited to contact the Contracting Officer, (vfloyd@usgs.gov) no later than June 12, 2007 with an affirmative answer.
