- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure preservation team services (PTS) for the preparation and coating of shipboard interior and exterior spaces and equipment with Navy approved coatings designed to prolong the useful life of the ship and its equipment. The solicitation will have a basic year (the remainder of FY08) and include four option years for preservation team services on submarines and aircraft carriers. The solicitation may result in multiple awards for the services to be performed in the following locations: Groton, CT; Norfolk, VA; Kings Bay, GA; Bangor, WA; Bremerton,WA; Everett, WA; Puget Sound NSY, WA; San Diego, CA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Guam; Yokosuka, Japan; and Diego Garcia (Tiger Team). PTS teams will be required to have security clearances of at least Confidential to work on submarines. In order to receive award(s), offerors will be required to have accounting systems determined by DCAA to be adequate for determining costs applicable to i ndividual contracts. Although the procurement is unrestricted, preferences for small business concerns are included. The solicitation, N00024-07-R-4219, will be posted at www.neco.navy.mil and is expected to be available not later than the July or early August 2007 timeframe.
