Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Hotel Accommodations and Hotel services located in the geographic area of Atlanta, GA. The Department of Veterans Affairs is a federal agency and therefore exempt from any taxes. The tax exemption document will be provided upon award of the contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefit Administration, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services will be participating in the Contract Management Training Workshop. The breakdown for hotel accommodations are estimated as follows; Sunday 9/9 (4); Monday 9/10 (65); Tuesday 9/11 (65); Wednesday 9/12 (65); Thursday 9/13 (65); Friday 9/14 check out. Based on the breakdown described, the total rooms requested are 264 each. PAYMENTS FOR ROOMS SHALL BE VIA PURCHASE ORDER. The following are the requirements for this solicitation; all rooms must be individual /private sleeping rooms with toilet facilities smoke free and at per diem rate or lower for Atlanta, GA. ALL offerors submitting quotes for this requirement must include Duns and Bradstreet Number and indicate whether or not their agency is registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All offerors must include the RFQ number on their quote; otherwise your quote will be considered unresponsive. The website for CCR is www.ccr.gov. Also, the offeror must be in compliance with the American Disability Act (ADA). Additional hotel requirements are: No penalty for rooms not used; Hotel must have availability to lodge all participants in one hotel; Hotel must be able to provide one or two rooms accessible to individuals with disabilities. Provide shuttle service between hotel and training site and area activities within a 5 mile radius (VARO 1700 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, GA); Restaurants on site (not fast food) or within 4 blocks of the hotel. Hotel agreements shall use the best value procurement method in the acquisition of hotel accommodations, commodities and services. The contracting group issuing the solicitation document shall, in cooperation with the user or using office(s), determine what criteria shall be used in the evaluation of offers received for the award of contract. The award contract shall be a contracting officer's decision based on varying factors such as price, location, etc. In developing the proposal, the Offeror shall comply with the requirements stated in this solicitation by answering YES or NO to each requirement as listed above. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD WITHOUT DISCUSSIONS. Therefore, each offeror is urged to examine this request for quote in its entirety and to ensure that their quote contains all necessary information, provides all required documentation, and is complete in all aspects. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
