Description
The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), intends to negotiate a competitive contract, subject to the availability of funding, for the replacement of structural components and climbing ladders at the IBB transmitting station located at Saipan and Tinian in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (NMI). The Contractor shall be responsible for performing all necessary site work, including but not limited to: replacement of corroded structural members and fasteners, replacement of corroded climbing ladders, replacement of corroded personal fall arrest protective systems, replacement of corroded platforms, replacement of corroded guard posts on the platforms, repair of corroded guy anchor rods as required and other repair work as specified in the technical specifications. The Contractor shall not damage any existing structures or equipment at the sites. The Contractor shall be responsible for the repair and/or the replacement of any damage to any existing structure or equipment at no cost to the Government. The Contractor shall provide necessary qualified and experienced supervisory personnel and laborers needed to perform the contract work. For this effort, the Contractor shall provide, as a minimum, one supervisor personnel at each working site during the entire working hours for every working day during the performance of the contract work. The contractor?s on site supervisor shall be fluent in English. The Contractor shall provide all of the required project management and engineering support, and all of the materials, supplies, tools, and equipment required to fulfill the requirement. The Contractor shall also provide all documentation, transportation, shipping, and any training required. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for information or inquiry.
