Description: The Navy, NAVFAC Washington, Washington Navy Yard, DC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for Dell Optiplex 512 MB Module RAM chips to improve IT assets end-to-end performance. Since the cut over to NMCI, the standard hardware supplied to NAVFAC has not yet been updated to reflect current specs. This product will allow increased productivity and efficiency. Under the NMCI requirements, substitutions/generic products are not allowed. This acquisition is ?Sole Source? due to Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) manufacturer?s rule and NMCI requirements. Award will be made under simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Parts 12 and 13, with FAR clauses 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 incorporated into the order.
